How I learned to stop worrying and love the sewing machine.

Art, crafts, and costumes, oh my!

A snippet about me… September 13, 2009

So, here’s a bit about my life. I just finished my bachelors degree in psychology, and am currently in the job market. I am also a full-time mom of three, two in elementary school and one in middle school. I am *also* a full-time stay-at-home wife, while my husband works for the retailer-that-shall-not-be-named.  What this page is *really* about, however, is the crafting. As a rule, I don’t like the term *crafting*, because it pulls up images in one’s mind of macaroni-covered picture frames and knick-knacks (which have their place, don’t get me wrong). I  knit, and have also recently discovered crochet which has led to many a head-band and stuffed toy. I also deeply love costuming.  Currently, I only make costumes for Halloween, but if ever given the opportunity to do it on a full-time basis, I totally would. Beyond that, I love drawing and painting, and have found a new world in vinyl toy and skateboard customization (also something I’d do full-time if possible). I have considered doing art for tattoos as well, we’ll see if that goes anywhere.

I do accept commissions as time allows, please contact me if you’re interested and we’ll see if we can work something out!
